Ubisoft has just revealed their plans for the next big DLC for Far Cry 6 called Pagan: Control. This is the second major DLC for the game after Vaas: Insanity, a similar DLC that sees players control the iconic villain from the franchise. The Season Pass contains 3 of these DLCs, the latest of which, Joseph: Collapse, will be released later this year.
The DLC will arrive earlier than expected on January 11, 2022, which means players will be able to experience this new experience from Ubisoft later next week. Pagan: Control will put players in the shoes of Far Cry 4’s tyrannical and charismatic villain, Pagan Ming. The DLC looks like it will be a major departure from the series’ formula, as Ubisoft has confirmed that the experience will be inspired by the roguelite genre. Most of the game will take place in Pagan’s troubled psyche, and players will be able to learn more about his past.
Far Cry 6 DLC Pagan: Control Coming January 11th
The DLC will be available on the available platforms for Far Cry 6 – Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and also on PC. The DLC will be available on PC through Ubisoft and the Epic Games Store.
Ubisoft assured fans that the roguelike game combines action and storytelling. Fan reaction to the previous DLC, Vaas: Insanity, has been very positive, with many praising the DLC’s innovative new gameplay systems as well as the focus on storytelling.
Pagan Min was one of the most interesting villains in the series who is well known for his villains. Played by Troy Baker, Pagan Min was one of Far Cry 4’s highlights, despite not being as much as fans would like. Based on the game’s canonical ending, Pagan’s character has a lot of room for development, and players have the opportunity to experience the pre-Far Cry 4 storyline.
