Last year’s event was mostly virtual with no live audience, but despite that, the event was a huge success and Geoff Keighley confirmed that this is indeed the most watched iteration of the show, with over 83 million streams worldwide, with 8.3 concurrent broadcasts. viewers at their peak. This year’s Game Awards will be streamed live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

We’re only a couple of weeks away from the event and it looks like the competition at the top is pretty tough. Big players like Metroid Dread, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Deathloop, Resident Evil: Village, Psychonauts 2 and It Takes Two compete for Game of the Year.
