        • Fixed a rare crash when respawning NPCs in the world.

        • Fixed issues with transparent head flickering when hair is present.

      • Updated localization text for additional content items.
      • Added build version to first end user license agreement.
      • Fixed a rare bug that caused mission descriptions to display incorrectly.

      • Fixed the VFX representation of the robe transformation.
      • Fixed a stability issue when skipping cutscenes.

Here are the patch notes for the PC version of Hogwarts Legacy that runs on Steam and Epic Games.

  • Kinematics
    • Fixed audio issues missing or not playing correctly.
  • Controllers
    • The Switch Pro controller supports HL-346 updates.
  • Upscalers
    • Enable frame generation when DLSS is disabled.
    • Anti-aliasing and screen resolution settings are disabled when using DLSS rather than Super Resolution.
  • Ray tracing
    • Fixed an issue that caused RTAO to look worse than SSAO.
    • The default setting has been changed to Medium quality.
  • Performance and stability
    • Shader type compilation optimization.
    • Shader compilation performance updates and functionality improvements.
    • Fixed a crash affecting the usability of Text2Speech.
    • Fixed issues with the sudden stretch of world assets, which fixes the following reported issues: HL-305, HL 265.
    • Resolves an issue with Nvidia GPUs having lower frame rates than AMD.
  • DirectX version 12
    • Please note that DirectX version 12 is required to run Hogwarts Legacy on PC. We do not offer workarounds for running the game with DirectX version 11, as this may cause stability issues when launching the game and running the player.
