After that, there was a crash issue before entering the second mission. The same issue was reported by another Reddit user, u/DobbysCrustySock, who played the game on PC. What basically happens at this particular moment is that your framerate starts to drop a lot. This causes Modern Warfare 2’s campaign mode to freeze until it crashes.
Is there a possible fix?
There is currently no way to fix this issue. However, the developers have acknowledged this issue and are working to fix it. Although some Reddit users have said that restarting their console or PC and restarting Modern Warfare 2 fixed the crash issue for them.
