Rumor has it that OnePlus will launch a new mid-range smartphone soon. The company recently launched the Nord CE 2 5G as its new mid-range offering. Rumor has it that a Lite version of this device is in development. OnePlus has yet to announce a launch date for the Nord CE 2 Lite. While we are waiting for this, new details about the phone have surfaced online.
A new report from 91Mobiles has revealed the design of the upcoming OnePlus smartphone. The report shows the design of the back panel as well as the sides of the device. Let’s take a look at the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite design renderings, specifications and other details leaked online.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will hit the markets soon. Ahead of the launch, a 91Mobiles report reveals the design of the back of the device. The report says that the phone will get a glossy plastic back with curved sides. The frame of the device is flat. OnePlus may use plastic for the frame.
The device is equipped with a rectangular camera module, which has two large cutouts and a smaller third. There is also an LED flash inside the module. On the right side of the device is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. On the left side are the volume keys and the SIM card tray. According to the report, the Nord CE 2 Lite will ship with a hybrid SIM tray instead of a dedicated micro-SD card slot. The bottom edge houses a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Of course, there is also a main speaker grill on the bottom edge of the device.
The report does not reveal the front of the device. However, it is expected that it will have a hole punch cutout, which will be located in the upper left corner of the screen. The phone will run Oxygen OS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box. This will be the first Nord series smartphone to ship with Android 12 out of the box.
According to the leaks, the phone will come with a 6.58-inch Full HD+ display. It will most likely draw power from the Snapdragon 695 SoC to support the 5G network. The phone will have a 64-megapixel main camera and two 2-megapixel sensors for depth and macro photography. For selfies, there will be a 16MP front camera. The phone will likely come with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It will most likely offer 90Hz refresh rate support.
