Studio Striking Distance announces that its sci-fi horror is no longer tied to the Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds universe.
Developed using a unique design process called Horror Engineering, The Callisto Protocol combines elements of violence with a tense atmosphere of humanity and desperation. On Callisto, the dead moon of Jupiter, in 2320, Jacob Lee (voiced by Josh Duhamel), a cargo pilot trapped in the Dark Iron, must escape a maximum security prison and uncover the terrifying secrets of the United Jupiter Company. In addition to being forced into an alliance with a mysterious cellmate (voiced by Karen Fukuhara, star of The Boys), the protagonist will have to adapt his fighting techniques with a unique combination of shooting and close combat to defeat the ever-evolving creatures that wreak havoc in the prison.
