The Callisto protocol will not be delayed at the last minute.

Striking Distance Studios has completed development of The Callisto Protocol.

Striking Distance Studios’ first original creation, designed by some of Dead Space’s original designers, is among the most anticipated horror games of the year. Callisto Protocol will immerse players in a claustrophobic atmosphere where blood and violence will be everywhere. It also features horrific death animations inspired by horrific real-life car accidents. After months and months of hard work, The Callisto Protocol has now gone gold, meaning the space horror game is set to launch on December 2nd on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC.

The Callisto Protocol was originally announced as a game set in the PUBG universe. Those plans were scrapped as development progressed, and The Callisto Protocol is now a completely standalone game, although it does have “little things”that tie in with Crafton’s famous Battle Royale.

No delay and 60 fps for Callisto protocol.

Prior to the Gold status announcement, the Epic Games Store Halloween Sale page indicated that The Callisto Protocol was due for release on February 12, 2023. Many players took this as a sign that the US publisher’s online store had inadvertently confirmed that the game had been delayed by two months. This information was clearly false, and Striking Distance Studios took the opportunity to reveal that there will be a performance mode to take advantage of 60fps. Finally, the game will take around 12-14 hours to complete, giving players significant replay value.
