PUBG Mobile Earns Krafton $8 Billion Since Launch: Reports

PUBG Mobile doesn’t require much introduction when it comes to the mobile gaming industry. This popular mobile gaming sensation has become one of the most popular battle royale games and has also become one of the highest grossing games. Tencent released the game on March 19, 2018 for Android and iOS devices, which now have different versions for several countries around the world.

Due to such great popularity, the income from the game is growing rapidly every month. Game developers are always trying to make the game more fun by offering new additions and changes to the players. In the first quarter of 2022, the game received $650 million, while Honor of Kings received $741 million.

PUBG Mobile has surpassed $8 billion in lifetime revenue

PUBG Mobile ranks in the top ten games every time when it comes to the most profitable games. According to a report by Sensor Tower, the game was making over $200 million every month in the first quarter of this year.

Sensor Tower released its recent earnings report, which states that PUBG Mobile generated $8 billion in revenue. The Chinese version of PUBG, known as Game for Peace (only available for China), generated the largest share of the total revenue. Game for Peace brought in $4.7 billion, or approximately 57% of the total spending by Chinese players.

PUBG Mobile’s revenue was $3.5 billion excluding China. The United States comes in second with 11% of player spending and Turkey comes in third with 4% of player spending.

The game managed to take the 2nd place in the ranking of the highest revenue even after a significant decline in shooting games revenue in the first quarter of this year. Mobile gaming sensation Tencent is now the 4th highest grossing mobile game of all time. The game is moving towards confusing the other games on the list that were released before it.
