Rainbow Six Siege may have taken a while to really find its footing, but once it did, it was simply unstoppable. The game is undoubtedly one of the most popular competitive first-person shooters right now, and is about to enter Year 6 Season 4 – High Caliber. A new operator, Thorne, is also joining the team as a technical weaponry expert from Ireland’s Emergency Response Unit.
The new season in Rainbow Six Siege will not only feature a new operator, but also a host of balance changes for the Finka operator, drone counters, and more. The Outback map has also been redesigned with new locations, including 2F Office Supply, which is now larger and has a padded outer wall. Ubisoft has detailed all of the major changes and updates to Rainbow Six Siege in the patch notes for High Caliber, which will be available on the live server on November 30th.

The Outback has received quite a bit of attention from the developers, looking to improve balance and player comfort. New locations added to the Outback:
- Convenience store 1st floor, compressor room on 1st floor, equipment store on 1st floor and beer cooler on 1st floor are combined into 1st floor for bicycle repair and 1st floor of mechanical workshop.
- 2F Office Supply is larger and has a soft outer wall.
- Restaurant 1F is divided into two halls: 1F Restaurant and 1F Shark.
- The 2nd floor covered terrace is now an indoor area that connects the 2nd floor mezzanine and the 2nd floor piano room. The Piano Room 2nd floor stairs have been removed.
Moved bomb locations:
- Explosions previously located in the 2nd floor dorms and the 2nd floor laundry room have been moved to the 2nd floor laundry room and 2nd floor Piano Room.
