Want to know the location of fortresses in Diablo 4? Then look no further. The most anticipated game of 2023 has several new features, one of which is fortresses. Since many players are new to the Diablo series, it’s easy to get confused. This guide will tell you everything you need to know about how they work and where they are located in Diablo IV.

Where to find stronghold locations in Diablo 4
In total, there are three fortresses in the Cracked Peaks region in Diablo 4, here are their locations:
Cor Dragan
Kor Dragan lies slightly northwest of Kiowashad in the Shattered Peaks. This stronghold is only available to players level 25 and above, making it the hardest on the list. Eventually, when you capture the fortress, you will gain access to a rare zone event called “The Gathering of the Legions”.
Fortress Nostrava
The second stronghold is at Nostrava, which is on the west side of Kiovashad in the Shattered Peaks. Players must be at least level 20 or higher to access this stronghold. Your whole goal here is to explore the village and talk to the Priestess to advance in the game.
Fortress Malnok
Finally, we have the fortress of Malnok, which is located east of Kiowashad in the Rift region. Only players above level 20 can enter this fortress. You will be tasked with defeating the Stormcallers of the Ice Clan to end the blizzard.

What are fortresses in Diablo 4?
For the uninitiated, fortresses are a new feature introduced in Diablo 4. They are certain areas on the map inhabited by demons. On the mini-map, they can be recognized by their red skull. Players can approach strongholds as a team and destroy them together. Once this is done, the square will become a public space. Here are all the possible outcomes after conquering the fortress:
- NPC settlements
- Exclusive quests and events
- Dungeon
- Legion Event
- waypoint
