Focus Entertainment announces a partnership with Different Tales, an old-school text adventure game company.
Founded by former CD Projekt RED developers who primarily worked on The Witcher license, Different Tales is an independent Polish studio behind Wanderlust: Travel Stories, Wanderlust: Transsiberian and Werewolf: Heart of the Forest. The as yet unknown “Different Tales”project published by Focus Entertainment will invite players to an immersive and welcoming experience where they will explore universal themes, including their own sensibilities.
“From the very beginning, we considered Focus Entertainment to be the ideal partner based on a set of shared values,” announces Jakub Radkowski, board member of Different Tales. “ The teams at Focus Entertainment show real attention to detail, focusing on every aspect of our project, including our extremely important storytelling. Their daily commitment confirms to us that Focus Entertainment’s contribution will enable us to offer a much better gaming experience than if we had published it ourselves.”
Yves Le Jaouanc, Director of Content at Focus Entertainment, adds: “This is more than a partnership, this is a meeting with the Tales of Miscellaneous team, around common values, bearers of hope. A vision backed by excellent storytelling already demonstrated by the studio and its talents in previous games. It is this collective spirit that we find in this collaboration, where the current problems of our world respond with a sense of wonder, to know how to build and rebuild, to be an actor in these changes within the community itself. This crossroads of rivers is a slice of life and simulation and offers players a unique combination of storytelling, creativity and strategy, emotion and reflection. Therefore, our meeting with “Different Tales”was obvious. ”
