Hogwarts Legacy developer hints at the possibility of the game getting another showcase soon, but no launch date yet

In a recent tweet, Troy Leavitt, Senior Producer at WB Games/Avalanche, apparently confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy will be unveiled soon. Rumors of a PlayStation demo this month featuring Hogwarts Legacy have been circulating the internet, but neither PlayStation nor Portkey Games (WB) have confirmed the event yet.

As one of the most anticipated games of the year, the upcoming RPG from WB Games relies heavily on it. On Twitter, Leavitt responded to rumors of an upcoming demonstration with a modest “neither confirm nor deny”response, also suggesting that the timing “feels right”.

Aside from a solid promotional trailer, there was little footage of the game, let alone a release date. Although the game’s release date seems to be set for 2022, there is no firm confirmation from the publisher or developers yet.

Hogwarts Legacy could get a new trailer or gameplay demo soon

While the demo trailer did a decent job of providing a good feel for the game’s tone and setting, the gameplay hasn’t changed much yet. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is uniquely rich and has spawned some fun video games in the past.

While the later games in the series flopped for lack of a solid identity, Hogwarts Legacy has a lot going for it. First, the game also seems to focus on life outside the walls of Hogwarts, pushing players into a world full of intrigue and, of course, magic.

The game is being developed by Avalanche Software, which has previously supplied games related to Disney properties such as Cars 2, Toy Story 3, and more. It will be interesting to see how Avalanche takes over the Wizarding World, and whether the new RPG can revive interest in the franchise as a whole and attract a new audience.
