Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K50 series in China. In addition to the K50G that was released earlier, the company has introduced two more smartphones in the premium line. These include Redmi K50 and K50 Pro. The devices are expected to be launched under the Xiaomi or Poco brand.
Both Redmi smartphones feature MediaTek Dimensity flagship processors and a 120Hz AMOLED display. The K50 Pro comes with support for 120W fast charging, which is claimed to charge a 5,000mAh battery in less than 20 minutes. Redmi K50 series price
Redmi launched the K50 series in China. Vanilla K50 comes in three storage options in China. Its base model has 8GB of RAM. It has 128GB of internal storage and costs 2399 yuan. The phone also has another 8GB RAM option with 256GB of storage. Its price is 2599 yuan. The top 12GB + 256GB storage variant is priced at 2,799 yuan.
The K50 Pro comes in four storage options. The 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants cost 2999 Yuan and 3299 Yuan. The two 12GB RAM options with 256GB and 512GB storage are priced at 3,599 Yuan and 3,999 Yuan.
The phones come in silver, black, green, and gradient blue.
Specifications and features
Both devices feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is HDR10+ certified and supports Dolby Vision. It also comes with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and DC Dimming. Both devices boot MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box.
The K50 Pro+ comes with a triple camera on the back. It features a 108MP HM2 sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP telemacro camera. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC.
The Redmi K50, on the other hand, has a 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor with OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The phone has a 32MP front camera. The 5500mAh battery supports 67W fast charging. Under the hood, it has a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC.
