Xiaomi forms the Redmi Note 12 line. Among the models is Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition, which charges in 9 minutes.
The charging speed of our smartphones has increased significantly in recent years, dropping to 30 and then 15 minutes for some modern models. This is not enough for Xiaomi. In its all-new Redmi Note 12 lineup, the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition stands out with its 210W HyperCharge compatibility. Driven by three 100W chips, it can charge a 4300mAh battery in just 9 minutes.

Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition also includes the debut of the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip and offers a 6.67-inch OLED screen (2400 x 1080 pixels, 120Hz), 200MP main lens (Samsung HPX sensor with OIS), 8MP ultra wide lens, 2MP macro lens and 16MP front lens. You’ll also find a dual SIM slot, stereo speakers, a 3.5mm jack, an edge-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC, all under Android 12.
This model is only offered in one variant: 8GB LPDDRAX RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Unlike last year’s Redmi Note 11 Pro+, there’s no option to expand storage via microSD. But this data sheet is more than acceptable for a device sold for 2,399 yuan, or about 332 euros.
Despite its name, the Redmi Note 12 Discovery Edition is based on the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, the main differences being lower charging power (120W) but larger battery (5000mAh). This model is available from 2199 yuan, 304 euros, with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. For 2399 yuan, the amount of RAM increases to 12 GB.

Then there’s the Redmi Note 12 Pro, which ditches the 200MP lens in favor of a 50MP lens (Sony IMX766 sensor) and 67W charging for the same 5,000mAh battery. Calculate 1699 yuan, 235 €, in the variant with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. For 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, the price is 2199 yuan, 304 euros, the same price as the Pro+.
Finally, Redmi Note 12 is positioned as more affordable, starting at 1199 yuan 165 euros. With a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip, an OLED screen of the same size but less bright, less contrast and no HDR, less efficient lenses (48MP main, 2MP depth and 8MP front), only 33W charging and a single speaker. This model is offered in two variants: 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage or 8 GB and 256 GB (1699 yuan, 235 euros, the same as the base model Note 12 Pro).
