Control 2 will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The promise is great for the fans.
Players, regardless of their preferred platform, have long been accustomed to it. A title is often released on a limited number of platforms, with others coming later. Sometimes you have to wait a very, very long time before such and such a game appears on such and such a platform. Today we will learn good news about the game Control 2.
Control 2 coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC
Remedy hasn’t unveiled a spin-off of their Control game yet, but that doesn’t stop the developer from releasing a full-fledged sequel. The company and publisher 505 Games have announced the joint development of Control 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. This is not surprising given that the two companies announced a “big budget”last year (so that was the sequel we’re watching today) last year, but it’s good news for all those who enjoyed the first opus.
Promise big for the fans
The creators did not share any details of the plot or game mechanics, even the release date. Even the teaser image is posted too early, except for what looks like a checkpoint. However, Control 2 will still use the $51.5 million Remedy Northlight engine. According to Remedy, the work is still in the “concept stage”.
The desire for a sequel is quite logical and understandable, given the great success of the original game and despite the lack of news about the spin-off. Control has sold 3 million copies since its launch in 2019, and 1 million of those copies have been in the hands of gamers since last June. The third-person action also received very good reviews, winning no less than 20 Game of the Year awards. In other words, the license has already been a huge success. Remedy and 505 Games intend to take full advantage of this advantage.
