Myst returns to iOS devices. This time it will be a 2021 remake with many improvements.
Not a week goes by without an interesting video game being released on such and such a platform. And platforms today have their place in this market, many players like this format. This explains why there are games of all genres, including updated versions of classic board games. This is the case, for example, with Myst. Today, the 2021 remake is gearing up for release on iOS devices.
Myst returns to iOS devices
The best-selling game of the 20th century is back on iOS. Shortly before the 30th anniversary of the infamous Myst franchise this fall, developer Cyan Worlds announced this week that it will be releasing a recent remake of the iconic 2021 adventure game on iPhone and iPad. This port will be compatible with devices with an Apple A12 Bionic chip or later. In other words, you can play it on iPhone XR or iPad Air 3rd generation or later.
This time it will be a 2021 remake with many improvements.
As The Verge makes clear, this won’t be Myst’s first appearance on mobile devices. Fans can already enjoy the Legacy Edition for €5.99. But this new release of the 2021 version represents a significant upgrade over what was already available on smartphones and tablets. Along with vastly improved graphics, this remake offers a vastly redesigned audio, as well as an additional feature to enjoy the puzzle-changing experience so Myst regulars won’t find themselves in too familiar territory.
This new version will be free to download, allowing you to explore the original game. If you want to enjoy the experience in its proper form, you will have to pay around fifteen euros for the full version. Cyan hasn’t given an exact launch date, but the studio will no doubt announce it very soon.
