Naughty Dog has announced the end of development on The Last of Us remake.
The Last of Us Remake, scheduled for September 2 on PS5, will release without any delay. Game director Matthew Gallant was quick to congratulate and thank the Naughty Dog developers on social media: “It takes a lot of hands and a lot of teamwork for a project to succeed. I thank everyone who contributed to making this happen.”

Anthony Vaccaro, lead environment artist on several California studio productions, says he’s happy to work in a much less toxic environment than in the past: “This is the first time in my 13-year multi-studio career that I haven’t had to crunch. to finish the game, it’s nice, really good. In particular, achieving the same quality standard as The Last of Us 2. There is still work to be done, but I am proud of the big changes that have been made to make the studio healthier.” Lead animator Michal Mah is also convinced that the result will amaze everyone. “I can’t wait for new and old players to try out the perfect version of TLOU with the latest technology. All animations have been redone. Finally, Neil Druckmannalso expressed his enthusiasm, “I can’t wait for you all to see their incredible work! The ultimate way to experience Joel and Ellie’s journey is almost here!”
