Wargaming Sydney will soon be rebranded as Riot Sydney.
By acquiring Wargaming Sydney for an undisclosed amount, American publisher Riot Games is getting its hands on a world-class development center with experience building next-generation tools and servers. In addition to making big games, the soon-to-be Riot Sydney studio is already working on several research and development projects, as well as prototyping new game features or porting to consoles.

Riot Games wants to be the cornerstone of the video game industry in Australia
Riot Sydney will share its experience in MMO and online gaming with League of Legends and Valorant teams. Riot Games’ tech teams will also be assisted by an Australian studio led by Molly Mason-Buhl, a video game industry veteran and director of development studios. Please note that the parent company Wargaming will remain the owner of Bigworld Technology and will continue to use it for its products (World of Tanks, World of Warplanes, World of Warships, World of Tanks Generals, World of Warships Legends).
