It is easy to appreciate the weather-resistant materials that make the bag easy to use in both rain and sunshine. The materials don’t let water through to your belongings, but instead the liquid drips like a Rain X-treated windshield. Obviously, you shouldn’t throw your bag into a pool or body of water, but rainwater won’t be a problem, especially if you’re walking and actively seeking cover.
I love that the Peak Design Everyday backpack has magnets just about everywhere to keep everything convenient and fast. Peak Design clearly doesn’t like loose things, so things like pockets, straps, and even a top-loading compartment are magnetically attracted to the backpack to prevent things from loosing.
I also really like the number of different attachment points and handles that can be found on the outside of the bag. There’s always a handy spot to clip on one of the various external storage straps, or to quickly grab a bag that isn’t the top-most handle.
In terms of comfort, as long as you don’t load the pack with too much weight, you’ll find that the padding is great for your shoulders and back. The included chest strap really helps stabilize the load so your shoulders can relax a bit, preventing the shoulder-biting feeling that comes with an overloaded backpack. It also helps a lot that the straps are hinged, so they can conform to your body shape better than regular straps.
I can’t say a lot of bad things about the Peak Design Everyday Backpack, but below I’ve put together a list of pros and cons for those who are interested:
