The National Museum of Strong in New York has a giant Donkey Kong slot machine. A playable beast at least 6 meters tall.
The National Strong Game Museum in New York recently unveiled a Donkey Kong arcade terminal as massive as this iconic video game character could be. The growth of the beast is not less than 6 meters. Donkey Kong is currently starring in the most popular video game adaptation of all time – Super Mario Bros., the movie – so it ultimately makes sense that he would also get a giant terminal.

The museum tweeted that Nintendo helped it develop this unique arcade machine, which is understandable when you know how Big N is protecting its licenses. After all, Donkey Kong first featured an Italian plumber who needs no introduction, although at the time his name was Jumpman or even Mr. video.
This impressive arcade terminal will be shown to all museum visitors after installation is completed on June 30th. As you can see in the image, the control interface is at human height, so you don’t have to climb stairs to get to the joystick and buttons!

This could have made it the largest arcade terminal in the world, but no formal steps were taken in that direction. Whatever the case, this Donkey Kong terminal is more imposing than the 4.90-meter NBA Jam terminal that sat proudly at CES 2020, and the same size but Tetris, which holds the current Guinness World Record. Records.
The Strong National Museum of Play is dedicated to the game in its many and varied forms. It is also home to the World Video Game Hall of Fame. Each year, the museum introduces new games to this hall of fame. In 2022, it is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Dance Dance Revolution’s turn to be inducted.
As part of the June 30th expansion, The Strong will create the world’s largest arcade game, Donkey Kong. The game will be almost 20 feet tall and will be available to guests! Thanks to @NintendoAmerica for contributing to the project. #DonkeyKong #Arcade pic.twitter.com/xQhsRVvCib
