Today, Ring, Amazon’s connected home brand, is launching its Intercom, a product that intends to upgrade those good old intercoms the way they should.
Ring Introduces Intercom, Modern and Connected Intercom Replacement
The Ring intercom is a modernized version of the intercom that can be found in many apartments today. This product has been thought and developed to replace the equipment already installed in these buildings and will work with many existing intercom systems. But unlike the latter, users will be able to communicate with visitors through their smartphone and offer specific access to the most frequent visitors. Similarly, you can grant access to an Amazon courier so that they can deliver your packages to your doorstep even when you are not at home.
For building owners and tenants
At first glance it may seem that this intercom will be more aimed at building owners than tenants, but the manufacturer indicates that installation is extremely simple. However, keep in mind that Ring Intercom will debut in the UK and Germany, with shipments expected as early as October 26th. It will arrive in Spain, France and Italy in early 2023 before crossing the Atlantic to the US market.
