The Samsung Galaxy S22 series will debut worldwide on February 9th. The company will launch three new flagship devices, including the vanilla Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. Samsung is expected to release its flagship smartphones after the global presentation. A recent leak claimed that the devices would debut in March 2022. While we wait for the official confirmation of the launch date, a new leak has surfaced online from whistleblower Ishan Agarwal and PriceBaba.
Samsung may surprise consumers by launching the S22 series with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. For years, the company has been producing flagship models with an Exynos chip. However, the S22 series could be the first set of flagship smartphones from Samsung after years of using Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon chipset.
SoC Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 are based on a 4-nanometer process technology and have a 1 + 3 + 4 architecture. However, the Exynos variant has lagged behind its Snapdragon counterpart in performance and efficiency over the years. One possible reason for the launch of the Snapdragon variant could be a constant shortage of components that could have affected the production of the Exynos 2200.
Samsung has yet to confirm any details regarding the Snapdragon variant launching in India. Therefore, it is recommended to wait a couple of days before the devices are officially presented. In the meantime, let’s take a look at the specs, features, and other details of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series.
