Samsung unveils One UI 4.0 update schedule: here’s what you need to know

Earlier this week, Samsung began rolling out the One UI 4.0 update based on Android 12 for the Galaxy S21 series. After that, a leaked roadmap revealed the One UI 4.0 update schedule for Korea, Brazil, and the Middle East. Although the update timeline for Samsung Galaxy devices varies by country, a new SamMobiles report has revealed the plan for rolling out Samsung One UI in India.

Unlike the US and some European markets, in India, Samsung will only launch the Galaxy S21 series in December, Foldables will start receiving the Android 12 update in January 2022 along with some of the latest generation flagship devices. In February, the Samsung Tab S7 series and several A series phones will receive the update. According to the report, the updated roadmap is scheduled until July 2022 to cover the respective Galaxy A, M, and F series devices. That’s when Samsung will release OneUI 4.0 based on Android 12 to the phones and Galaxy tablets in India.

June 2022: Galaxy A21s, M51, Tab A7 (2020), F41, A22, F12, Tab A7 Lite

July 2022: Galaxy M11, M01, A12, F02s, M02s, M02, A03s, M12

Because Samsung makes so many smartphones around the world, the timing of the update will vary by country. According to the aforementioned roadmap, most current and latest generation flagship models will receive One UI 4.0 updates by January 2022. This will be followed by updates for tablets, Galaxy A series, M series and F series devices.
