Google’s iPhone trade-in offer makes the Pixel 7 128GB/256GB ($599/$699) free as long as you trade in your 1TB iPhone 13 Pro Max for the original price of $1,599.
- What is happening? Google is targeting Apple customers by offering large loans to those who would sell their precious iPhone to get a Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro.

Google Deal: Get the Pixel 7 for free by trading in your iPhone
Google yesterday announced the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, its latest Google-made smartphones that provide a stock Android experience. To entice buyers, the company is offering up to $750 off any Pixel 7 with a qualifying trade-in.
To receive a $750 Google Store credit, you must trade in a 1TB iPhone 13 Pro Max. It was the flagship model in Apple’s 2021 lineup, priced at $1,599.
Google will credit your account with $750 as long as the iPhone you are selling is in good condition, that is, it turns on and works properly, there are no scuffs or dents on the case, the screen is not damaged, and so on. The 256MB Pixel 7 is $699, so you can get this phone for free if you want to trade in your 1TB iPhone 13 Pro Max. Or you can pay an extra $150 to get the Pixel 7 Pro starting at $899 instead.
“Phone trade-in credit will be issued as a refund to the credit card used to purchase the phone from the Google store, or as store credit if the purchased phone has already been returned,” explains Google.

Should I consider Google’s offer?
It doesn’t look like Google is taking advantage of Apple’s customers because Apple’s exchange conditions are among the worst in the industry. For example, Apple’s exchange service will credit your account with up to $720 in exchange for your 1TB iPhone 13 Pro Max when you purchase one of the new iPhone 14 models.
As MacRumors points out, Google is offering $695 for the 512GB iPhone 13 Pro Max model. The 128GB/256GB version can go for up to $595/$645 if traded in with the purchase of the latest Pixel 7 series.
$200 Google Store credit
Google is also offering a $100 Google Store credit that can be used towards your next purchase when you buy a new Pixel phone. Your Google Pay profile must be registered in the country where you bought your Pixel in order for your Google Store credit to be issued.
