The co-founders and executives of Rocksteady Studios are gearing up for a new adventure in the video game industry.
Since the end of the year, Rocksteady Studios, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Games, will no longer be led by Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker:
Our decision to leave Rocksteady Studios was emotional to say the least! Since the founding of the company in 2004 until today, it has become our life and our soul. This has given us the opportunity to do what we love most, which is making great games with exceptionally talented people. We are very proud of our team and the games we have made together, from our first creation Urban Chaos to the famous Arkham series and the epic Suicide Squad. But there’s something special about Rocksteady Studios that goes beyond the games we make, and everyone who works here feels it. These are amazing moments that we have shared over the years, the friendship and care that this team gives to others has made this unforgettable trip so special. We are thinking, that people wear Rocksteady Studios T-shirts with pride because of how we treat each other and what it’s like to be here. We want to thank the team for their hard work and everything they do to make this place such a great place to live.

Following the departure of Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker, Nathan Burlow, Chief Producer and co-founder of Rocksteady Studios, will take on the role of head of the studio, with Darius Sadeghian as product director:
Some of the moments we’re most proud of came about because of the energy and talent of this team, like being able to work with Warner Bros and DC on Batman, the amazing Arkham games that went beyond anything we could have imagined, being able to work with some of the heroes of our childhood, to pay tribute to the industry we love so much by helping aspiring game creators, and finally create a culture here where people can just be themselves and create great games together. Their enthusiasm and support for what we do is the fuel that motivates us to perform at our best. This is the Rocksteady Studios extended team and we thank them for keeping us energized over the past 18 years! Now that the Suicide Squad is in safe hands and the team is stronger than ever, it’s time to hand over the reins and start a new adventure in the video game industry together.
