Do you want to unlock a secret exotic mission in Destiny 2? Then you have just arrived at the right place. In the past, Bungie has surprised us with various seasonal challenges rewarded with exotic weapons. With the release of Season of Defiance, it will be possible to obtain an exotic weapon known as the Vexcalibur Glaive. However, first you need to unlock a secret mission known as //NODE.OVRD.AVALON//. Since you are not given directions with which to start this mission, you may need a little help. Here’s everything you need to know.
How to unlock the “//NODE.OVRD.AVALON//”secret mission in Destiny 2
To unlock //NODE.OVRD.AVALON// you will need to collect 6 Vex Cubes. These Vex Cubes can be found floating around Gulch, the EDZ region. These Vex cubes look like shiny white cubes. After collecting the 1st die, you will see a 2-digit number along with 5 “??”appear on the left side of the screen. Collecting all 6 Vex Cubes will fill in double digit numbers instead of these question marks. Also, you need to be fast because once you complete the 1st cube, you will have almost 25 seconds to collect the rest. Additionally, this full code will allow you to access the //NODE.OVRD.AVALON// secret mission in Destiny 2.
Just so you know, the location of the cubes is also not marked on the map. But don’t worry, they are all close to each other. For reference, we have marked their location in the image below:
Once you’ve collected all the Vex Cubes, you’ll see a large glitch-like white storm appear in the sky. Follow this storm and you will find a cave right below it. Now go inside the cave > climb over the ledge above > and land on the ground. After that, you can see a prompt that will allow you to start the //NODE.OVRD.AVALON// secret mission in Destiny 2.
Completing this mission will later reward you with the Vexcalibur Glaive exotic sword. Although, when you show up in the Vex network in this mission, there will be a few obstacles. So be prepared for anything and everything. Finally, you need to win the Brakion boss fight and finally get the special Vexcalibur Glaive in Destiny 2.
