A sequel to the Joker movie is reportedly in the works.
According to exclusive information from Heroic Hollywood, production company Warner Bros. Pictures has officially received the first draft of the script for Joker 2: “Story details are stored in a cell at Arkham Asylum.”Filming on the sequel to the psychological thriller, which centers on the transformation of Arthur Fleck into the Joker, a dangerous psychopathic killer who would later become Batman’s worst enemy, could begin by next year.
Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker in Batman?
Todd Phillips will return with the same team in front of and behind the camera, namely Scott Silver, Laura Ballinger, Mark Friedberg, Mark Bridges, Lawrence Sher, Jeff Groth, Hildur Gudnadottir, as well as Tod Maitland, Alan Robert Murray, Tom Ozanich and Dean A. Zhupanchich. Note that the character portrayed by American comedian Joaquin Phoenix could potentially appear in The Batman with Robert Pattinson, so the universes will be well connected. It could also open the door to the origin story of Harleen Francis Quinzel, aka Harley Quinn.
