The Touch Bar would not have completely disappeared yet. The next MacBook Pro 13 may use it.
With the release of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, Apple made the Touch Bar disappear. Then one could logically say that from now on, future machines of this line will have this characteristic, namely the absence of a touch panel. However, this may not necessarily be the case. The Cupertino-based company may have decided to keep the Touch Bar for at least the next generation.
The Touch Bar wouldn’t completely disappear yet
If anything, that’s what the MacRumors report suggests, which would have learned from sources familiar with the matter that with the next 13-inch MacBook Pro, the Apple brand wouldn’t be dropping that touchbar in the keyboard. This machine will indeed have the same design as the current 13-inch MacBook Pro, which explains the Touch Bar.
The next MacBook Pro 13 may use it
For those who don’t know, several rumors today point to the possibility that the Cupertino company could introduce a new, more affordable MacBook Pro model, potentially with Apple’s Silicon M2 chip. So this device should be cheaper than the new MacBook Pros, but just as, if I may say so, was the 13-inch MacBook Pro that Apple introduced in late 2020, among the first wave of machines with the M1 chip.
And in some ways it’s a pretty logical move, although since it’s now clear that Apple is done with the Touch Bar, some users may be disappointed to say the least that Apple is including a hardware component that won’t (or is too small) supported by developers.. In any case, we will take this new information with a grain of salt. And who knows, maybe we’ll find out more during an Apple event due in March. To be continued!
