Speed ​​Racer comes live to Apple TV+

The new series Speed ​​Racer is coming to Apple TV+. Will it be better than the 2008 Wachowski adaptation?

According to Variety and Deadline, the Apple brand has just green-lit Speed ​​Racer for Apple TV+. JJ Abrams will executive produce, with production to be handled by his own production company, Bad Robot. While the project has yet to be officially announced, two sources are often very reliable indicators of what’s going on in Hollywood. In other words, it’s safe to say that something is really up with this iconic manga license.

This new series will be co-written by Ron Fitzgerald (Westworld, Friday Night Lights) and Hiram Martinez (Snowpiercer, Get Shorty), both of whom have previously worked on genre series. Of course, it will be hard to beat the 2008 Wachowski adaptation, but the promise is there and fans are in for a live adventure.
