Infinix Note 12 series will ship with MediaTek Helio G99 SoC

Last month, Infinix introduced the Note 12 series to global markets. The Infinix Note 12 series currently consists of four devices – Note 12i, Note 12, Note 12 Turbo and Note 12 VIP. Now, it looks like the brand will be adding a new device to the lineup soon. Infinix announced on Twitter that it will soon introduce the new Note 12 series smartphone.

The brand also revealed that the upcoming Note 12 series device will be powered by MediaTek Helio G99 processor. Take a look at the brand’s social media post.

The upcoming Note 12 series device will be the first phone to feature the MediaTek Helio G99 processor. The Helio G99 was recently announced and is being manufactured on TSMC’s 6nm process. It uses two high performance Cortex-A76 cores (clocked at 2.2GHz) and six efficient Cortex-A55 cores (clocked at 2.05GHz). The chipset has an integrated Mali G57 GPU.

Existing Note 12 series devices also feature MediaTek Helio processors. Note 12 Turbo and Note 12 VIP are powered by MediaTek Helio G96 processor. Whereas Note 12 and Note 12i are equipped with MediaTek Helio G88 and Helio G85 chipsets respectively. It also suggests that the upcoming device will be the most powerful in the brand’s Note 12 lineup.

Infinix Note 12 VIP: specifications and features

For now, the Infinix Note 12 VIP is the brand’s best offering. The phone features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and a notch in the center. As mentioned above, the phone has a MediaTek Helio G96 octa-core processor, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

The Note 12 VIP sports a 108MP main camera. Complementing the high-resolution sensor is a 13MP ultra wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a dual-tone LED flash. It uses a 16MP camera for video calls and selfies. The phone packs a 4500mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging. It also offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that doubles as a power button.
