Sky: Children of the Light will receive a port for the PlayStation console

Thatgamecompany reunites with Sony Interactive Entertainment and PlayStation with Sky: Children of the Light.

Sky: Children of the Light social and online free-to-play game from independent studio Thatgamecompany (flOw, Flower, Journey) will be available soon on PS5 and PS4:

Our goal in developing our new license was to expand it so that players can come together in this fantasy world, regardless of the platform they play on. After initially launching on iOS in 2019, Sky welcomed Android players in 2020 and then Nintendo Switch players in 2021. With the upcoming port on the PlayStation console, we’re excited to expand the circle of light even further.

In a previous 3rd Anniversary blog post, we said we had a few surprises for the community.

Today it’s time to share one of those surprises that we are planning.

Cross-play for Sky: Children of the Light

Once Sky: Children of the Light is released on PS5 and PS4, cross-platform play will be available to everyone:

We have a lot to prepare for these new players and we look forward to sharing more details in the future. However, rest assured that PlayStation consoles will support cross-platform play with other platforms so that Sky kids can meet their friends who join them on mobile devices with iOS and Android or Nintendo Switch (in fact, beta testers may see some changes in the upcoming test updates as we prepare everything for players on PlayStation consoles).
