Each region in Slime Rancher 2 has a map data node that opens and disperses clouds on the map. They usually have three data nodes and you can easily get to them. You can find them mostly on the tops of high elevations that can be reached on foot. Having a jetpack is very useful and can significantly reduce travel time. All two data nodes on Rainbow Island are located at a higher altitude. There are only 2 map data nodes in Rainbow Fields as this is the starting area and the third area is already unlocked for you. In order to get them, you need to either find the ramps leading to the tops of the rocky structure or get a jetpack. Once you get to the map data node, it will instantly unlock the region for you.
