Apple’s subscription services have almost a billion subscribers

Apple has almost a billion paying subscribers to its services, and the growth still looks impressive.

Subscription services have proliferated like hot cakes in recent years. Everyone, or almost, fell into it. It must be said that the business model is very interesting for companies that can thus bring a relatively fixed income every month. The giant Apple has also launched a number of subscription services. And there are many, many subscribers today.

Apple has almost a billion paying subscribers to its services

A few years ago, the Cupertino-based company made it clear that it believes subscriptions are the way forward for services and even apps. And it would seem that this decision to push subscriptions in this way is paying off today, and not a little, since, according to the financial report for the first quarter of 2022, the apple brand was able to add 165 million subscribers over the past year.

And progress always looks impressive

This means that the US company’s total paid subscribers are currently around 785 million, which is ultimately pretty insane when you think about it, and when you think about how much money it can make for Apple just from those subscriptions.

According to Apple CFO Luca Maestri, “In addition, paid subscriptions continue to see strong growth. We now have over 785 million paid subscriptions across all services on our platform, an increase of 165 million over the past twelve months. In addition, we are completing the rollout of new services that we believe our users will greatly enjoy, and we continue to improve the breadth and quality of our current service offering.”

Apple currently offers a number of services available through a monthly subscription. There’s iCloud, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, Apple News+, and Apple One that just bring it all together.
