More and more new products have appeared in the TV market over the past year or so. And Acer could be the newest entrant in the market soon, according to a report from 91Mobiles. Next month, the company is apparently going to bring new smart TVs with devices ranging from 32 to 70 inches. The devices will be manufactured by Indian manufacturing giant Dixon and will run on Google’s AndroidTV operating system with support for streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube. Google Assistant will also be supported.
Acer Smart TV screen sizes and specifications
Acer Smart TVs will be sold in 32, 42, 43, 50, 55, 58, and 70-inch screens, according to a 91Mobiles report. The smallest of them – the 32-inch version – will be an HD Ready TV with 1.5GB of RAM, a 60Hz refresh rate and a 3000:1 contrast ratio. The company will offer both a standard version of the TV and a bezel-less variant. On the other hand, the display resolution is slightly higher than the 42-inch version of the device. It has an FHD display and will support a 60Hz refresh rate, with the AndroidTV operating system running inside.
In addition, Acer will also launch 4K TVs. Acer’s 43-inch, 50-inch, 58-inch and 70-inch smart TVs will have 4K Ultra HD resolution with AndroidTV operating system inside. This includes Acer’s 43-inch edge-to-edge 4K Ultra HD Android TV and more. 4K TVs will have 2GB of RAM internally with a 60Hz refresh rate and a 5000:1 contrast ratio. They will also have UHD upscaling technology and all TVs will use LED panels.
In addition, Acer Smart TVs will cost between $270 and $950, making them quite competitive with Chinese players. It’s unclear if Acer will actually be selling its 70-inch TV for $950, but that could make it the cheapest TV of its kind.
