Snapchat passes 750 million monthly active users

Snapchat now has 750 million monthly active users, which are very positive signs of growth.

Instant messaging services have been around for several years. This explains why they now have an impressive number of users. Obviously some are doing better than others because they’ve been around longer, because they know how to stand out from the competition or something like that. Snapchat, for example, has a lot of market power and the platform is announcing some pretty crazy numbers today.

Snapchat now has 750 million monthly active users

Snap did claim to have reached a milestone in its growth: Snapchat now has over 750 million monthly active users. The company also recently claimed that 375 million users use the app every day. While these numbers are clearly a far cry from the 2.96 billion per month and 2 billion per day that Facebook currently accounts for, Snapchat’s audience numbers continue to rise. Snap stated during an investor event that “Snapchat will reach a billion users in the next two or three years.”

Very positive signs of growth that bring benefits

If we dig deeper into these numbers, we realize that the majority of Snapchat users live in North America, a region that boasts over 150 million monthly active users. Snap CEO Evan Spiegel said the app is now available to more than three-quarters of people aged 13 to 34 in more than 20 countries, and users post more than 5 billion snaps every day. Meanwhile, the Snapchat+ subscription service has over 2.5 million members in just 7 months of operation. And over 300 million people use Snap Map every month.

So many positive signs for Snap after a rather challenging 2022. The company’s shares fell 80% between the end of 2021 and the middle of last year, when it had to lay off about 1,300 employees. The company also discontinued the Pixy selfie drone after just four months.
