How to beat Giganto in Sonic Frontiers
Your very first boss fight in the game will be against Giganto. After completing all the missions on Kronos Island and collecting all the Chaos Emeralds, you will be able to fight Giganto. However, entering this battle without any preparation can be costly and you will definitely fight for victory.
First, be sure to upgrade all your moves. As you walk towards Giganto, a short cutscene will play which signals the start of the fight. In phase 1, simply climb over Giganto’s body all the way to the top until you see the last Chaos Emerald. Once you get it, you will transform into Super Sonic.
As Super Sonic, you will be able to fly and will not take any damage from Giganto’s attacks. However, it is important to note that this buff will remain active until you have enough rings in the bank. If the number of calls resets, the game is over and you have to start over. Make sure you defeat Giganto before this happens. Here are some additional tips:
- Use combo moves as often as possible, press the triangle and circle on the PS controller and “Y”and “B”on the Xbox controller.
- Focus on using counter attacks before Giganto attacks you, as this will help you get the most damage.
- Beware of massive Giganto lasers and other attacks. While this may not hurt your health, subsequent knockdowns can take some important time and cause you to lose the number of rings.
