Sons of the Forests is the sequel to the 2014 cult video game Forest, developed by Endnight games. As in the previous game, you find yourself on an isolated island and must survive in dense forests. As you progress in the game, you will build several items, structures, tents, and buildings. How about destroying or dismantling them? You may have heard that it is easier to destroy than to create. But removing placed items has left a few players confused as not many of the game’s features are explained. So, check out our guide on how to dismantle or remove built items in Sons of the Forest to find out.
How to remove built-in things in Sons of the Forest (dismantling)
You can delete built objects by pressing and holding the C key on your keyboard. To do this, get closer to the things or structures that you have built. Then press and hold the default key combination to instantly remove the built-in thing. You can press the default keyboard shortcut to remove a few other things, including buildings, tents, log cabins, chairs, and more. You can also click this control to remove and dismantle campfires or logs you have built.
It is imperative to dismantle items to make room for new things. As you will keep moving in this survival adventure game, it is very important to stock up on resources. Thus, you may have to gradually leave things behind in order to have more items and resources. As you unlock new areas, you can also change the position. In times like these, dismantling built things is the best alternative.
While there may be several reasons for putting away what you’ve built, it’s more important to let go. Think of it like refining or restoring new things to increase resources!
That’s all for how to remove or dismantle built items in Sons of the Forest.
