Apple will be testing various iPhone prototypes with foldable screens, but the Cupertino company will still be very skeptical.
If many of the rumors that have been circulating for some time are true, Apple will be looking to develop an iPhone with a foldable screen. Today, according to a series of tweets posted by leaker @dylandkt, it appears that the Cupertino-based company has apparently already developed several iPhone prototypes with foldable screens and that they are currently being tested, but we cannot see such a device released for very long time.

Indeed, according to the tweets, the Apple brand remains extremely skeptical and cautious about adopting such a form factor. The Cupertino-based company is not yet sure if this trend of folding screen smartphones will continue or if they will no longer be “cool”, like smartphones with 3D screens without glasses, which fell out of favor and disappeared from the market.

The tweet also says that Apple wants to ensure that if it does adopt a new form factor, in this case a folding screen smartphone, there shouldn’t be several “regressions”from the current form factor.
In other words, this new device should be better and not lose any functionality or performance. And it materializes at Apple, as it often does, through a lengthy study to see how foldable screen technology evolves before deciding whether or not to launch.
Apple has always taken its time before implementing this or that feature. This announcement comes as no surprise. Also, if you remember correctly, some have speculated that within the next ten years, the Apple brand might replace its iPhone with smart glasses. In this situation, it is difficult to see how the development and marketing of the folding screen iPhone can help achieve this goal. To be continued!
