Instagram Live creators can now assign moderators

Instagram is rolling out its moderator features for Lives, which is enough to make your Lives run more smoothly.

In 2021, we saw Instagram testing a new feature that allows Live session creators to assign moderators to manage those moments and keep things under control. These moderators look for inappropriate comments, flag them, delete them, and may even exclude annoying viewers from the broadcast.

Instagram launches live moderators feature

The idea was to let the creators focus entirely on their content and let other people behind the scenes make sure everything runs smoothly, cleanly and without overflow. Those who have been using the Instagram Live feature for a while now will probably be happy to know that the feature is now rolled out and available to everyone. So all Live session hosts can benefit from it.

What to achieve more serene than his Live

Creators can add moderators by simply clicking the menu icon in the comments panel and searching for specific people to modulate. They can also, if they choose, use Instagram offers. At the same time, the platform did not specifically report on how these recommendations are made.

This moderator’s option, so to speak, is far from new. Other platforms, such as Twitch, have long allowed streamers to assign moderators during live broadcasts. That being said, since Twitch is primarily a live streaming platform, this makes more sense. Either way, it’s great to see Instagram implementing this feature, albeit relatively late compared to the competition. Better late than never. I hope Instagram Live is calmer now.
