Vivo is preparing to launch a new Y-series smartphone. The company will probably announce the Y33s 5G in China very soon, it will be different from the 4G variant.
The 4G variant came with the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC for under $265. According to China Telecom’s listing (via GizmoChina), the Vivo Y33s 5G will ship with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC.

According to the listing, Vivo Y33s 5G will launch with three storage options. The base 4GB + 128GB variant will cost 1,499 Yuan (roughly $235), while the 6GB + 128GB variant will cost 1,599 Yuan (roughly $252). There will also be an 8GB + 128GB model priced at 1,699 Yuan (roughly $267). The phone will launch in Nebula Blue, Fluorite Black, and Early Snow Dawn. It will most likely be launched soon as the phone will be available for purchase from February 12 in China.
Specifications and features
The Y33s 5G features a 6.51-inch HD+ 720 x 1600 pixel display. The phone has a waterdrop notch at the top for the front camera. It will most likely support a 60Hz refresh rate.
The upcoming Vivo smartphone has a dual camera on the back. It has a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera module has an LED flash next to the large circular cutouts. For selfies and video calls, there will be an 8MP front camera.
There will be a 5000 mAh battery under the cover of the phone. It will come with support for 18W fast charging out of the box. The device will also feature a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. As mentioned, it will have up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Vivo is expected to offer a MicroSD slot in the device for storage expansion.
The phone runs Android 12 out of the box with an Origin OS layer on top. If launched outside of China, the phone is expected to run Funtouch OS 12 on top of Android.
