Hello everyone, it’s time again! It’s time for our Apps of the Week review, where we highlight some of our favorite apps and games of the week. We’ve got some great options for you this week, including an app to meet new friends, a health and wellness companion, and a quiz app for history buffs. And, as always, we have selected a great game for you.
Spinnr – Meet New Friends
Are you the kind of person who thinks we don’t share ourselves enough online these days? Have you ever wished there was another way to put yourself out there? Don’t be afraid, Spinnr will have your back. This is a new social app for meeting people with similar hobbies and interests. “No boring photos, just funny videos.”Joking aside, I really think there is a huge discovery for an app that can take the awkwardness out of meeting new people and making friends. This is all? Well, how about a try and let me know!
Align: good mental health
I know I’ve said this before, but wow, my new app thread has nothing but AI and mental health apps. Seriously, this is ChatGPT and mindfulness in everything. I wonder what this says about us as a society? Either way, Align seems like a good app to check if you want to get better. The user interface is very clear and the app uses 7 key principles – food, sleep, environment, relationships, lifestyle, mindset and purpose – to keep your mind right. Sounds good.
Krono Timeline Quiz
Do you know that we are closer in time to Cleopatra than Cleopatra is to the Great Pyramids? Do you know what happened before: the invention of the printing press or the first trip of Columbus to America? If you do, good for you and you should probably check out the Chrono timeline. To play, simply drag the cards onto the timeline in the correct chronological order. There are free daily challenges, a daily history digest, Sudden Death mode, and more. The app is free, but you pay to stay.
Worderland: chain of words
What is it, you ask. Another game? Yes, so today I wanted to go through two applications and two games, sue me! Either way, Worderland is hard to say but easy to play. You are given 60 seconds to come up with as many words as you can, while respecting the rules: each word must start with the last letter of the previous word (other than your initial letter, which is given to you). I just want to say that this game is amazing and it has a weirdly tiny leaderboard that I’m going to make someday. That’s all.
