While you can choose any role regardless of the character you choose, there are certain characters that are better suited to a particular playstyle given the nature of their abilities. Here are the three main types of positions you can play:
- Forward: These are mostly attackers or brawlers in the game. You need to play aggressively and break the enemy’s defensive strategies. Your goal is to score as many goals as possible and make sure the Core is in your team’s possession. Juliet and Estelle are, in fact, the best Forward characters in the game.
- Support: This play style can be defined by characters that are quite versatile in their abilities, where they can play decently in any position. Era is an example of a powerful support character, able to put pressure on the enemy team, slowing them down.
- Goalkeeper: As the name suggests, the goalkeeper has a defensive style of play that involves dodging goals and removing any buffs from the enemy team’s fighters. Kai is one of the best goalkeepers in the game. You can also block shots and moves like Crossover which makes him the best overall goalkeeper.
