Squid Game Hwang Dong Hyuk’s Revenge
After being told that his story was too ridiculous and unrealistic, Hwang Dong Hyuk put his script for Squid Game on hold for ten years. When US platform Netflix started looking for foreign content, Hwang Dong Hyuk took a chance and handed over the script to Squid Game, which quickly became the most watched series in the history of the streaming service.
The Korean drama stars Song Gi Hoon (Lee Jung Jae), a gambling addicted divorced father who joins 455 other contestants with huge financial debts to risk his life in a series of child death games to win a big cash prize.
