Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, presented by EA as the successor to Jedi: Fallen Order, will be released in 2023

Respawn Entertainment, Lucasfilm Games and EA have finally unveiled Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to the hit game Jedi: Fallen Order. The game is currently scheduled for release in 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

EA has released a cinematic trailer for the game that hints at a rather interesting direction the game could take. Characters such as the Grand Inquisitor have been mentioned, but it remains to be seen what exactly the game has in store for players in 2023.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2018) is universally acclaimed as one of the best Star Wars games of all time and has set the bar pretty high. Respawn Entertainment is constantly releasing one quality game after another, and it will be interesting if they can keep the streak alive with this one.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Coming in 2023 to Current-Gen Consoles and PC Only

The game will not run on the latest generation of consoles, meaning players will need either a PS5, Xbox Series X/S, or a solid PC to play. 2018’s Jedi Fallen Order created an interesting cast of characters and left the door open for sequels to explore a number of interesting stories.

Jedi: Survivor will see the return of Cal Kestis and BD and likely the rest of the team Cere and Grizz. The game will take place 5 years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order, with Cal growing up to come to terms with the fact that he is one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy.

Respawn is specifically developing the game for current generation consoles, which means that players can expect all sorts of improvements from the 2018 game, both in terms of presentation and gameplay. The game will be released in 2023, and the official release window has not yet been specified.
