Produced for Imperative Entertainment (Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas), Sikelia Productions (Martin Scorsese) and Appian Way Productions (Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson), with Eden Productions’ Richard Plepler as an executive producer and sponsored by Apple, the film is based on Action Pari: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder by David Grann is set in the 1740s. The British ship Pari is wrecked on a deserted island on the edge of South America, and the captain and crew struggle to survive. and maintain order while facing not only the most extreme elements, but also their own human nature.
