Stray offers 12 chapters of Cat’s thrilling adventure as you progress towards finding the Outer. The Control Room is the last chapter for the orange tabby and B-12 as they approach Outside. Once you turn on the subway and board the train, you will reach the control room. Here B-12 reveals the last of his main memory. But there are a couple of things you need to do before you go outside. How to get to the control room in Stray (walkthrough)
For players who can’t get into the control room, here’s how to do it:
- When you and B-12 get to the control room from the subway, go up the stairs to get to the control room.
- You will see a gate labeled Control Room. But you and B-12 need to hack your way into the Room.
- You will see a Robotic Box with built-in Follow protocol. Interact with the box to turn it on.
- You need to make it follow to the left of the gate under the control panel.
- Interact with the box again to turn it off.
- Since the control panel is sealed, inspect the lock to the right of the gate.
- When interacting with the lock, the panel will be printed and unlocked.
- Now climb onto the robotic box and scratch the wires to open the gate.
What to do in the control room
Once you and B-12 bypass the security system and enter the control room, all of B-12’s main memories will be unlocked. This will trigger a cutscene that reveals more about the plague and what happened to humanity.
- Once inside, examine the main computer at the end of the room.
- B-12 will ask you to turn on the computers while he hacks a way to get passwords and encrypted keys.
- There are three rows of computers and you can walk through them to turn them all on.
- The computers will turn blue as you walk over them. But note that passing them again can turn them off.
- Once you turn on all the computers, another B-12 cutscene will play.
- B-12 will ask you to destroy everything around while he hacks cars. We need to destroy three large computers.
- To the right of the computer tower you will find a large computer. You can knock down his panel to see his wiring.
- Then interact with the machine to scratch its wires. While you’re destroying the machines, leave the B-12 part hacking.
- To destroy the next large computer, go to the main computer at the end of the room.
- You will find a large computer covered by a long panel.
- You need to click on the panel and interact with the car to destroy it.
- Head right out of the control panel to find the last big computer.
- Its wiring is on top. So, jump and climb on the big computer to interact.
- You will notice that the hack will slightly affect B-12.
- But once it’s completely disabled, pick it up and place the B-12 on the blue panel of the unlocked rooftop control station.
- When you drop it on the panel, a heartbreaking cutscene will play.
