Free to play this week on the Epic Games Store is the Metroidvania puzzle game “Supraland”. The game will be available for free download until June 23 on the Epic Games Store and does not require the player to purchase.
Game developers Supra Games describe Supraland as a mixture of Portal, Zelda and Metroid, and the gameplay reflects this description quite well. The game seems to take design cues from all three of the games mentioned above and mix Portal-esque first-person perspective with Metroid-style level design and Legend of Zelda exploration.
Supraland is a one-of-a-kind unique experience that received mostly positive reviews in 2018. A game submitted once will forever remain in the player’s library.
How to get Supraland for free on the Epic Games Store
To get Supraland for free, just sign in or create a new Epic Games account and download the Launcher. After logging in, find the “Free Games”section on the main page and select “Supraland”. Complete the purchase by clicking “Get”and launch the game from the library as soon as it completes the download. Players will not need to make any purchases or add payment methods to their account as the free games will cost nothing.
The store has already unveiled next week’s free games – Game of Thrones Board Game and Car Mechanic Simulator 2018. These games will be available in the store starting June 23rd and will be available for one week until June 30th.
Giving away games has been a pretty cool way to bring new users to the platform, and on top of that, it also helps smaller games and developers get more exposure. However, the store is also giving away huge AAA games – as the store recently featured a free downloadable game, Prey.
