Fast food chain Taco Bell partnered with tech giant Microsoft to develop Age of Empire IV, a PC game released late last year. As part of the partnership, people who purchase Ultimate Cheese Taco Taco Bell will have a chance to win copies of the game for PC.
The giveaway began on January 3, 2022, with the company saying that over 200 copies will be drawn every week. It will last until the end of January, which means that gamers will be able to win about 800 copies of Age of Empires IV from Microsoft.
How to get Age of Empires IV through Taco Bell
The idea is, of course, simple. You just need to go to the Taco Bell store and buy the Ultimate Cheese Taco. You can also buy a meal for two with Ultimate Cheese Taco for the same. The fast food chain said the offer would be available for both food and takeaway. Delivery via Swiggy’s own app, Zomato, or Taco Bell will also work.
“All the customer needs to do is place an order and provide a 10-digit valid phone number to mark their participation in the draw,” the company said in a statement. The company will announce the winners of the draw at the beginning of each week through the Taco Bell app, company media channels (such as Facebook, Twitter and others) and personalized SMS messages to the winners.
“As youth are increasingly leaning towards games with excessive indoor time, the industry is now showing significant growth in the country,” said Gaurav Barman, director of Burman Hospitality Private Limited, the company that owns the Taco franchise. Bell is here in India. Interestingly, Taco Bell says they are affiliated with the Microsoft Xbox, which is another sign that Microsoft is blurring the lines between its console and PC gaming ecosystems.
How much will Age of Empires IV cost you this way?
Well, the Ultimate Cheese Taco is only $2.4 and $2.7 for the vegetarian and non-vegetarian versions. And yes, the offer is available for both versions. Food, on the other hand, costs $4.42 and $470, which is also much cheaper.
To be clear, Microsoft is also selling Age of Empires IV through the Xbox Store. The game is priced at $54 but is available to Xbox GamePass owners for free if they subscribe to GamePass.
