Tecno has released a new budget smartphone with 5G support. The company has officially unveiled Tecno Pova 5G. The new 5G smartphone comes with the Dimensity 900 SoC, which is confirmed to power the upcoming Infinix Zero X 5G. The device comes with a triple camera on the back. The back panel is made of plastic with a two-tone coating.

Tecno Pova 5G price
Tecno launched the Pova 5G in a single storage configuration. The phone has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Its starting price is $267. The phone comes in Aether Black color and will go on sale from February 14th.

The new Tecno smartphone is equipped with a massive 6.9-inch display with Full HD+ resolution of 1080*2460 pixels. The IPS LCD panel has a cutout in the center at the top, which Tecno calls a “dot display”. The screen also supports a 120Hz refresh rate.
The phone measures 172.82 x 78.24 x 9.07mm. The tall form factor allows Tecno to pack a powerful 6000 mAh battery into the device. Comes with an 18W fast charger. The phone also comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC under the hood. The Octa-core chipset is based on a 6nm process technology. It has 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage. The device comes with support for 3 GB of virtual RAM, which is borrowed from 128 GB of ROM if necessary.
The device comes with a triple camera on the back. There is a 50MP main camera sensor. Tecno did not disclose the sensor type or any other details. The phone also has a 2-megapixel macro camera and AI lens, as well as a quad-flash module. For selfies and video calls, the Tecno smartphone has a 16MP front camera sensor. The front camera also supports dual flash.
For biometric authentication, there’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and AI face unlock. The phone supports 5G, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS, etc. It also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device runs HiOS based on Android 11 out of the box.
