When Tesla held an event last year to celebrate the opening of its Giga Texas plant, Elon Musk said he would finally start selling the Cybertruck in 2023. Today we can further refine this launch window. Indeed, according to an article in The Verge, Elon Musk told Tesla investors during a recent presentation of financial results that the automaker will hold a presentation of this long-awaited futuristic car in the third quarter of this year. Tesla will start production this summer, but mass production won’t start until 2024, as previously stated.

Elon Musk reportedly told investors during that meeting that “it takes time to get a production line up and running and it’s a very, very different product.”And add: “It’s not made like other cars.”The production version of the Cybertruck that Tesla showed on stage last year had no door handles and could automatically detect if the owner was nearby and should open the doors. The car is made from the same stainless steel that was originally intended by the manufacturer, which is a more expensive material than the standard steel used in the industry. As noted by The Verge, an electric vehicle requires special soldering techniques and its smaller components are highly customizable.
Specifications and final price not yet determined

The original and highly optimistic launch date was 2021, then pushed back to 2022 and then to 2023. with three engines. However, Tesla warned some time ago that final specs and pricing are yet to be determined and could depend on many factors, including supply chain constraints and the overall economic backdrop.
